About the NCAA Project
In 2001, we set out to create a College Fantasy Football league that had a distinct college feel. We accomplished this by doing the following:
* Allowing teams to schedule their own games
* Finishing the year with a bowl week
* Determining bowl game match-ups using our very own "BSCS"
* Instituting Homefield Advantage for each game
We started with twelve teams and expanded to twenty teams in 2002, creating five conferences consisting of four teams each. We decided the following year to incorporate conference championships. To accommodate that change, we made our final expansion to twenty four teams.
Probably the biggest change we made in the actual format of the league began in 2002 and was tweaked a bit in 2003 to make it possible for more teams to participate was the recruiting period. Teams can now recruit one incoming freshman each year and keep him from year to year based on how many games he starts in the NCAAP season as well as what round pick the owner gave up to recruit the player.
While no major changes to the league structure are anticipated, we are committed to maintaining league of the highest quality and will alter the league rules when we have the opportunity to improve the league.
